Look at the size of this bull’s heart tomato flower! Tomatoes are one of my favorite things to grow, and are very beginner-friendly. As a self-pollinating fruit, each plant is equipped with both male and female parts. When planted within the right conditions, bulbs can grow far larger than what you’ll typically find in a grocery store — and far more delicious, too! A few other tips I have for growing tomatoes in your garden include:

1. Tomato plants need a lot of sunlight — about eight hours per day! Ensure the location of each plant is somewhere that won’t be impacted by a lot of shade from your house, fence, etc.

2. Also ensure its an easily accessible location, as I find tapping gently on the plant bulbs regularly helps increase and improve growth and quantity!
